About Us

MATTHEW LEE ROBERTS is an independent home electronics shop in Ōtaki, on the Kāpiti coast. We concentrate on portable airflow and bedside clocks, two categories where a cheap unit is obvious within a week. We are a small team, and the person who answers your email is the same person who checks the stock before it ships.

What we stock

The catalogue covers portable fans, stroller fans and digital alarm clocks. Portable airflow and bedside clocks are small purchases that either work every day for years or annoy you within a week, so the range stays short and the testing does not.

How we test

Every fan is charged and run until the battery cuts out, with the blade guard and stand checked for movement. Clocks are set, alarmed and left running for two days to confirm they keep time. Fans that rattle, clamps that sag and clocks that drift by more than a minute a month do not make the cut.

Delivery and returns

Orders leave Ōtaki within 1–2 business days, tracked, and reach urban New Zealand addresses in 1–3 business days (rural 2–5). Unused items can be returned within 30 days of delivery.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars and include GST where it applies. Shipping is calculated at checkout before you confirm the order.
